We pride ourselves on delivering top-notch live streaming experiences, and our recent collaboration with Forfey at the RDS Dublin was no exception.

With meticulous planning and attention to detail, we deployed four PTZ cameras, a remote crowd camera and an automated camera slider, adding dynamic movement to the stream. Our tried and tested Live Stream Rack served as the backbone of the operation, ensuring smooth transmission throughout the event.

The Irish Poker Open was the main event, and our live stream was the gateway for over 75,000 eager viewers to immerse themselves in the action. Streaming concurrently to two channels on YouTube via Amazon’s Elemental Live-streaming service.

One of the highlights of our setup was the utilisation of multiple cameras to capture both teams and the host as well as the reactions of the audience. We incorporated singular live overlays to enhance the viewing experience, displaying graphics such as team details, scores, and questions in real-time.

To guarantee uninterrupted streaming, we employed Amazon’s AWS Elemental service, featuring both a primary and backup live stream. While the main stream relied on our in-house internet connection, our backup connection leveraged the reliability of Starlink internet—a fail-safe measure to mitigate any potential disruptions.

The operation was a collaborative effort, with PTZ camera operators meticulously controlling the cameras, each equipped with presets for capturing specific looks. Additionally, one PTZ camera mounted on a camera slider provided dynamic movements, adding flair to the event’s coverage.

We understood the importance of crystal-clear audio, which is why we used Shure microphones to capture every word with pristine quality. As a further precaution, we recorded backups of both audio and video for post-production purposes, ensuring that every moment was preserved flawlessly.

Our collaboration with Forfey to deliver the live stream for Poker Stars at RDS Dublin was a testament to our commitment to excellence. From the intricacies of camera control to the reliability of our streaming infrastructure, every aspect was meticulously planned and executed to perfection.
